About R.C.PATEL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY 

RCPIT was set up as a part of the self-powered plans of Shirpur Education Society in 2001 with the objective to erect a truly world class institute in the rural part where students from the vicinity would be benefited from the services that matched global standards. RCPIT was conceived by Hon. Shri. Amrishbhai R. Patel, former cabinet minister for School Education, sports and youth welfare for Maharashtra State. 

The institute has grown at a remarkable pace and has gone on to become an institute of repute within the country. It is spread over 36.6 acres of lush green land providing an ambiance congenial to the pursuit of high quality technical education. 

Every single detail of the institute has been implemented at par with global standards in accordance to the norms of AICTE, New Delhi. The strength of RCPIT lies in its state of the art Laboratories, digital library, and an advanced workshop.

The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and is affiliated to the North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon (accredited 4-star status by NAAC,Bangalore).The institute has been accorded a status of Minority (Gujrathi Linguistic) by the Government of Maharashtra.

RCPIT presently offers courses in disciplines that are oriented to modern industrial needs. And each of the course modules encompasses a host of subjects pertinent to the respective fields.

President Message 

When RCPIT was envisaged way back in 2001, there were many skeptics who were of the opinion that establishing a new engineering institute in a rural region was not a safe bet. But for a handful of resolute optimists, who charted the destiny of RCPIT, the picture was crystal clear – that of an institute matching global standards and putting to rest the debate on urban-rural polarization. Today when we look back it gives us an immense sense of satisfaction because the phenomenal performance of the institute has exceeded the expectations of one and all. The infrastructure of the institute has been lauded by students and visitors alike. Faculty members and institute-industry interaction form the backbone of the institute and almost all of them are post graduates in their discipline and with a high degree of passion for teaching. The tutor system followed by the institute ensures individual attention to students on the academic and personal front. The most prominent feature or RCPIT is the town of Shirpur itself. Devoid of the cacophony of city traffic and pollution, Shirpur is a students’ paradise offering the least possible distraction from the students’ academic focus.

Once you are enrolled in RCPIT, you will be truly privileged to be in a community of care and concern where ethics and values are held in high esteem. I wish all the current and eventual students a bright and successful career ahead

President of Shri Vile Parle Kelwani Mandal, Mumbai, an educational institution owning and operating more than 15 pretigious schools and professional colleges like Narsee Munjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), D. J. Sanghavi College of Engineering, Shri Bhagubhai Mafatlal Polytechnic, IIPS, Shri Mukeshbhai Patel Military School – that cater to the needs and aspirations of around 40,000 students.

He Has been elected over consecutive terms to the Maharashtra Assembly and can take credit for having taken visionary steps to transform Shirpur and make it an example for others to emulate.

Has created a new employment opportunities in the rural area of Shirpur by setting up modern industries like Priyadarshini Spinning Mill, The Shirpur Gold Refinery, Shirpur, Padmavati Oil Mills, Dweta Garments etc. A strong believer in the co-operative movement, Shri Amrishabhai is the Chairman of the Dhulia District Co-operative bank, Shirpur Co-op Peoples bank and Priyadarshini Co-operative Bank.

He deserves a great deal of credit for much of Shirpur’s pride – the completely paperless and computerized Shirpur Municipality, a purified water supply that is 24 hours on tap, high quality road and infrastructures, beautiful road loghtings, Shri. Mukeshbhai Patel Recreation Garden (Family Garden) etc.

He is also on various development and planning councils and on the Board of various companies.
